Unser Jugendzentrum in Agona Nsaba
In 2019, recognizing the urgent need for expanded educational infrastructure in Agona Nsaba, Ghana, we initiated our youth program. Through our daughter NGO, A Different Life Ghana, and collaboration with local authorities, we gained insights into the community’s youth needs, guiding the development of the Youth Hub.
Construction of the Youth Hub began in June 2022, nearing completion, with plans to commence activities in early 2024. Special thanks to Leapfrog e.V. and Stiftung Nord-Süd-Brücken for sponsoring the construction, supporting our mission to provide formal and informal learning opportunities for the youth in Agona Nsaba.

IT-Zentrum
In the current digital era, possessing IT skills is essential for academic and career success. Recognizing this, we’ve integrated IT education into the curriculum in Ghana. However, our needs assessment in Agona Nsaba and nearby communities revealed a lack of functional IT labs in many schools, hindering students’ competitiveness during national exams.
To address this, we’ve established a fully equipped IT lab, providing comprehensive training and hands-on learning experiences. Our goal is to bridge the digital divide, empowering the next generation with essential skills for success in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Beyond academic support, the IT lab offers after-school sessions for students to practice with specialized software. Additionally, it serves as a community hub, extending its impact through IT workshops for other community members. This initiative aims to unlock opportunities and prepare students and the wider community for a digital future.
Bibliothek mit Freizeitangeboten
Eine Bibliotheken ist von entscheidender Bedeutung für die Förderung von Verantwortungsbewusstsein, Gemeinschaftssinn und kommunalen Fähigkeiten bei Kindern und Jugendlichen. Aufgrund von fehlenden funktionalen Bibliotheken, ist es unser Ziel, eine lebendige und integrative Bibliothek zu schaffen, die als Zentrum für Wissen, Inspiration und gesellschaftliches Engagement dient.
Diese Einrichtung wird der Gemeinde, insbesondere Kindern und Jugendlichen, einen einladenden Raum bieten, in dem sie Bücher erkunden, auf digitale Ressourcen zugreifen, an Bildungsprogrammen teilnehmen, und ein lebenslanges Interesse am Lernen entwickeln können.
Die Bibliothek wird die Kinder und Jugendlichen stärken, ihre Fantasie anregen und zur allgemeinen Entwicklung der ländlichen Gemeinde beitragen. Um den Mangel an sicheren Freizeiträumen zu beheben, wird unser Jugendzentrum außerdem einen Mehrzweck-Sportplatz und einen Spielplatz für Kinder bieten, um körperliche Aktivität und soziale Interaktion zu fördern.
Nähwerkstatt
In Agona Nsaba and nearby communities, many young individuals, especially women, encounter obstacles preventing them from pursuing higher education, ranging from financial constraints to academic challenges.
Im Rahmen unseres Jugendprogramms erkennen wir die Bedeutung der Berufsausbildung, as it provides practical experience in one’s chosen career path. Our primary focus is on providing vocational training, with a spotlight on fashion designing, for motivated young women facing limited access to further education.
This comprehensive program includes IT skills, basic business management, and marketing training, empowering participants to start their own businesses. In addition, we foster market connections to ensure the sustainability of their ventures. As part of our commitment to growth and community support, qualified individuals may have the opportunity to become instructors, creating a cycle of knowledge transfer within our training facility.
Aufklärung über sexuelle und reproduktive Gesundheit
Die Bedürfnisse von Jugendlichen im Bereich der reproduktiven Gesundheit erfordern gezielte Aufklärung und Unterstützung. Die Gesellschaft sollte ihnen Informationen bieten, um verantwortungsvolle Entscheidungen zu treffen und den erforderlichen Reifegrad zu erreichen.
Zugängliche Informationen und Dienste sind von entscheidender Bedeutung, wenn es darum geht, Jugendlichen zu helfen, ihre Sexualität zu verstehen, ungewollte Schwangerschaften und sexuell übertragbare Krankheiten zu verhindern und das Risiko der Unfruchtbarkeit zu verringern. Gleichzeitig müssen junge Männer dazu erzogen werden, die Autonomie der Frauen zu respektieren und in Fragen der Sexualität und Fortpflanzung Verantwortung zu übernehmen.
To address these needs, we are establishing a einladendes Zentrum mit qualifiziertem Personal, und Kollaborationen mit lokalen und nationalen Programmen anbieten, um die erforderlichen Standards zu erfüllen. Außerdem wird unser Zentrum regelmäßige Aufklärungsprogramme in der Gemeinde für alle Gemeindemitglieder anbieten.
